The Procurement Section was established in 2007 in the then Bolgatanga Polytechnic. In 2020, it was upgraded to a Directorate under the Office of the Vice Chancellor. The Procurement Directorate is responsible for the planning and coordinating of all procurement activities of the University. It ensures that goods, works and services of the University are done and are available at the right time, right place, in the right quantity, right price and right quality in accordance with the Public Procurement Act, 2003 (Act 663) as amended.
It hopes to provide value for money and utmost quality of goods, works and services for the University through judicious use of resources and prudent value for money by ensuring fairness and transparency at all times.
